Miley Cyrus, Coldplay, and Christine & The Queens are the latest artists to join the lineup for the Global Goal benefit concert.

The concert will take place this weekend (June 27) and aims to support communities that have been severely affected by the pandemic. The concert was set up by Global Citizen and the European Commission and is titled “Global Goal: Unite for Our Future.”

Shakira, Justin Beiber, and Jennifer Hudson will also be performing on the day. Guest appearances will also be made by the likes of Hugh Jackman, Chris Rock, and Kerry Washington.

In response to the announcement of her participation in the event, Cyrus said: “This moment requires all of us to act. As Global Citizens, we’re calling on leaders around the world to combat the disproportionate impact COVID-19 has on marginalized communities by committing funds to develop and deliver tests, treatments, and therapeutics.

“Because of this global effort, we will be more able to ensure that everyone, everywhere has access to COVID-19 testing and treatment, regardless of their income or where they live.”

Global Goal is set to air on NBC and iHeartMedia. It will also be streamed on YouTube, Twitter, and other major streaming platforms. You can find out more here.
