Miley Cyrus’ endless summer vacation is slowly coming to a close, and she decided to wrap it up with a perfect song. “Flowers” singer dropped an emotional music video for her reflective new single “Used To Be Young”, which sees her looking back at her past and letting it go.

Directed by Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walte, “Used To Be Young” sees Cyrus standing in the middle of a darkly lit room while wearing a Mickey Mouse shirt underneath a sparkling, bright red corset – a clear reference to her Disney past.

Cyrus is pretty emotional throughout the video, and her eyes are filled with tears while she delivers the powerful chorus, “I know I used to be crazy / I know I used to be fun / You say I used to be wild / I say I used to be young,” before breaking into a smile at the end of the video.

Cyrus revealed that she wrote “Used To Be Young” before she started working on her latest album Endless Summer Vacation two years ago, during a time when she felt really misunderstood.

“The time has arrived to release a song that I could perfect forever. Although my work is done, this song will continue to write itself everyday. The fact it remains unfinished is a part of its beauty. That is my life at this moment….. unfinished yet complete,” she explained on Instagram.
