Miley Cyrus broke the internet with her new song “Flowers” and it was just a matter of time before this catchy track hit No. 1. That moment is finally here, and this smash hit became her second single to ever top the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

“Flowers” debuted at No. 1 with 52.6 million streams, 33.5 million radio airplay audience impressions, and 70,000 units sold during its first full tracking week on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Its triumph doesn’t come as a shocker since this song already set several major records since its release on January 12.

“Flowers” earned the biggest week for a song in Spotify’s history, with 96,032,624 plays, breaking the record previously held by Adele’s “Easy on Me”. It also became the fastest song to globally cross 100 million plays on Spotify in seven days, passing BTS’ “Butter” which reached that milestone in eight days.

“Flowers” serves as the lead single from Cyrus’ upcoming studio album Endless Summer Vacation, which she described as her “love letter to LA”. It’s her second single to top the Billboard Hot 100 after “Wrecking Ball” rose to the top in 2013, and both songs draw inspiration from the singer’s relationship with her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth.
