Miley Cyrus promised us “New year, new Miley” in 2023, and she’s staying true to that promise. After teasing new music for the past few weeks, she officially announced her eighth studio album Endless Summer Vacation, set to come out in March.

Endless Summer Vacation will be released on March 2023 via Columbia Records, marking Cyrus’ first studio album since her exit from RCA Records. She described it as a love letter to Los Angeles and said it reflects on her building her physical and emotional strength.

The teaser trailer shows the singer basking in the California sun and exploring several scenic locations across Los Angeles, and it’s accompanied by a nostalgic voiceover:

“We met each other on the neon dingy, past the manta rays and palm trees. Glowing creatures beamed down from great heights, electric eels, and red venom. In the sky, we could see the riders on horseback, on comets coming toward us, kicking up with laughter.”

Endless Summer Vacation is Cyrus’s first studio album since Plastic Hearts in 2020, which produced singles “Midnight Sky”, “Prisoner” ft. Dua Lipa, and “Angels like You”. Its release will be preceded by the lead single “Flowers”, set to hit the shelves on January 13.
