It won’t be long before Milo Ventimiglia is back on our screens.

For the past six years, the actor has charmed audiences as the patriarch of the Pearson family in This Is Us. The series came to an end in May, with Ventimiglia now set to embark on a new role.

ABC has ordered a full season of the 45-year-old actor’s new show, The Company You Keep, which follows the marriage between a conman and an undercover CIA officer, neither of whom is aware of the other’s life. The series is an adaptation of the South Korean drama, My Fellow Citizens!, which debuted in 2019.

Ventimiglia will star as Charlie who has followed the family swindling business, while Catherine Haena Kim of Ballers will play his wife Emma who is an undercover cop investigating a criminal connected to her lover’s family. The Gilmore Girls star will also executive produce.

William Fichtner, Tim Chiou Freda Foh Shen, James Saito, Sarah Wayne Callies, Felisha Terrell, and Polly Draper will form the rest of the cast.

Although the pilot was filmed in May and the series was due to premiere later this year, The Company You Keep is scheduled to hit screens in 2023.
