The second season of Netflix’s Mindhunter is set to debut next month.

The premiere date was revealed by executive producer and series director David Fincher, who let it slip during a recent podcast appearance.

“Yes, there is now [a date],” Fincher said on KCRW’s The Treatment. “I’m not sure, I guess I’m allowed to say it, but, yeah, it’s gonna be the 16th.”

This means that Jonathan Groff, Anna Torv, and Holt McCallany will soon be back on the streaming service in the series that follows a special team within the FBI, spearheaded by Agent Holden Ford (Groff), that investigates what makes serial killers tick during the ’70s.

Mindhunter was launched in October 2017 and was renewed for a second season a month after its debut.

The second season will be set a couple of years after season one, and is expected to focus on the Atlanta child murders.
