Mindy Kaling’s adaptation of classic rom-com Four Weddings and a Funeral is one of the most anticipated TV shows of the summer – and for a good reason! The first trailer for her latest project is here, and we can’t wait to watch it in full.
Kaling’s take on the 1994 classic follows a new generation of friends who reunite in London for a wedding before everything turns upside down.
According to the official synopsis “relationships are forged and broken, political scandals exposed, London social life lampooned, love affairs ignited and doused” in the TV adaptation of the beloved rom-com.
Four Weddings and a Funeral will premiere on Hulu on July 31st, and it will consist of a total of 12 episodes. The Game of Thrones veteran Nathalie Emmanuel will take on the lead role, and she’ll be joined by the cast of promising young actors, including Nikesh Patel, Rebecca Rittenhouse, Brandon Mychal Smith, and John Reynolds. They will be joined by Andie MacDowell, the star of the original film.
