An entire crowd at UCLA’s Hammer Museum gave a standing ovation to actress Mira Sorvino, who took a stand herself against sexual harassment.

The Mothers and Daughters actress was one of the pioneers of the Time’s Up movement after coming forward with her own experience of sexual harassment at the hands of Harvey Weinstein in the exposé by The New Yorker.

The Academy Award winner has now become the inaugural recipient of the Promise Institute Award For Contribution to Human Rights Through the Arts.

The honor, which recognizes Mira’s activism against human trafficking as a UN Goodwill Ambassador as well as her involvement in Time’s Up, is part of the “Lights. Camera. Reaction.: The Art of Impact Through Entertainment” summit.

During her address, Mira referred to the Weinstein scandal by saying,”I knew I was risking something. And it’s been very triggering and very hard, but ultimately, finding that voice in yourself … boy, it can make a huge difference.”

Well done, Mira. Thank you for fighting the good fight.
