It’s been a while since Miranda Lambert dropped her new album Wildcard, but she chose the best possible time to share the music video for her brand new single “Bluebird”.
Trey Fanjoy was in charge of helming the beautiful video that shows the country superstar stuck inside a big birdcage. She can be seen performing her song in a dazzling feathered gown in front of a number of people and leaving the cage at the very end.
Lambert said that bluebirds took a whole new meaning for her since she wrote this song, and she sees them as a little piece of hope.
“I love ‘Bluebird,’ it’s a song like I’ve never written before and I’m so proud to be a part of it. Since I wrote it, I’ve been seeing bluebirds everywhere. It reminds me to open my eyes to what’s around me,” the singer said in a statement about the song.
Miranda Lambert’s latest album Wildcard came out on November 1rd, and “Bluebird” follows “It All Comes Out in the Wash” as its second single.
