The third Deadpool movie is on the way, and it will feature many familiar faces once it finally hits the theatres. Morena Baccarin and Stefan Kapicic are officially coming back to reprise their roles as Vanessa and Colossus alongside Ryan Reynolds.
The news of their return comes shortly after Baccarin cast a shadow of doubt over her future in the franchise during an appearance on the podcast Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum.
“I have to be very diplomatic about what I say here. I’d like to be in it. They have called me about being in it. Right now, we have not agreed on terms, and everybody’s trying their best, and doing their best. But it may or may not work out,” said Baccarin at the time.
Now that her future in this franchise is secure, Baccarin will return as Deadpool’s love interest Vanessa, but she won’t be the only fan-favorite character making a comeback. Karan Soni and Leslie Uggams will reprise their roles as Dopinder and Blind Al, while Stefan Kapicic also confirmed his return as Colossus.
Deadpool 3 will also star Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin, and Matthew Macfadyen. Shawn Levy is on board to direct, after collaborating with Reynolds on Free Guy and The Adam Project.
