The MTV Video Music Award performers have been announced and among them are Olivia Rodrigo and Machine Gun Kelly, who will be taking the VMAs stage for the first time.
Also performing are Lil Nas X, Camila Cabello, and Lorde.
This marks Lil Nas X’s first VMAs performance since 2019’s “Panini”, Cabello’s since 2019’s “Señorita,” with Shawn Mendes, and Lorde’s first since 2017 “Homemade Dynamite”.
Lorde’s set to perform a song from her third studio album Solar Power, Machine Gun Kelly will perform his new single “Papercuts”, and Rodrigo will perform “Good 4 U”.
Lil Nas X and Rodrigo are going into the night with five nominations each with Lil Nas X’s including video of the year for “Montero (Call Me by Your Name)” and Rodrigo’s include artist of the year, song of the year, and best new artist.
Justin Bieber received seven nods and Megan Thee Stallion has six. Coming in with five nominations are Billie Eilish, BTS, Doja Cat, Drake, and Giveon.
