It’s only been two months since the first season of National Treasure: Edge of History wrapped up and we won’t be getting another chapter. Disney+ canceled this action-adventure series after a single season.

National Treasure: Edge of History is set in the same universe as the popular film franchise starring Nicolas Cage. He wasn’t involved in its making, but Harvey Keitel and Justin Bartha came back to reprise their roles, while Jerry Bruckheimer produced the project.

According to its official logline, this series centered on Jess Valenzuela, a young woman whose life is turned upside down when an enigmatic stranger gives her a clue to a centuries-old treasure that might be connected to her late father, who died when she was a baby.

Jess wants to use her puzzle-solving skills to crack this mystery, and her friends decide to join her as she follows a series of clues hidden in American artifacts and landmarks on her quest for history’s greatest lost treasure that will unveil the truth about her family’s past.

National Treasure: Edge of History was led by Lisette Olivera, with Catherine Zeta-Jones, Zuri Reed, Antonio Cipriano, Jordan Rodrigues, Jake Austin Walker, and Lyndon Smith in supporting roles.
