NBC is Bringing “Superstore” Back for a Sixth Season

America Ferrera in "Superstore"

Superstore won the hearts of audiences ever since it became a part of NBC’s comedy line-up, and its story is far from over. Cloud 9 won’t be closing its doors anytime soon—the network renewed this workplace sitcom for its sixth season.

Lisa Katz and Tracey Pakosta, the co-presidents of NBC scripted programming, announced the renewal of this beloved show by saying, “We’re thrilled that Superstore continues to speak to many important and topical issues while simultaneously being hilarious.”

Their words perfectly capture the spirit of this hit sitcom, which follows a group of colorful characters working at a big box store. America Ferrera and Ben Feldman are leading the ensemble cast, which also includes Lauren Ash, Colton Dunn, Nico Santos, and Nichole Bloom.

This announcement comes shortly after NBC announced the renewal of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and these two sitcoms will be its only returning NBC comedy shows heading into the 2020-2021 season, after The Good Place and Will & Grace ended their run.
