NBC has nabbed a new drama from Jessica Goldberg and Amy Poehler as put pilot.
Titled The Mother-In-Law, the series is based on Sally Hepworth’s novel of the same name. It will be adapted for television by Jessica Goldberg. Amy Poehler will executive produce alongside Kate Arend via Paper Kite Productions. Both Poehler and Goldberg will produce.
According to Deadline, The Mother-In-Law centers on a woman’s complicated relationship with her husband’s family that ends in death. It is a mystery that explores motherhood, class, race and just how dangerous family secrets can be.
