NBC Renews “New Amsterdam” Through 2023

The series which is currently airing its second season has been renewed for three more. 

NBC handed out a three-season renewal to The Amsterdam, which means the medical drama will officially run through 2022-23. 

The early renewal from the network was announced by the chairman of NBC Entertainment Paul Telegdy, Saturday morning, during the Television Critics Association winter press tour.

According to Variety, New Amsterdam which is currently airing its second season is averaging a 1.7 rating in adults 18-49 and 9.8 million viewers in the Nielsen Live+7 ratings. In terms of viewership, the series is averaging a lift of 4.6 million viewers per episode in Live+7.

New Amsterdam stars Ryan Eggold, Janet Montgomery, Freema Agyeman, Jocko Sims, with Tyler Labine and Anupam Kher.
