Fans of Squid Game spent months waiting for Netflix to confirm the show’s renewal, and their prayers have finally been answered. The streaming giant gave green light to the second season of the hit Korean drama and dropped an eerie teaser to announce it.

The 10-second clip features the iconic “red light, green light” doll, who’s set to return in Season 2, along with her equally creepy boyfriend Cheol-su. According to a statement released by the show’s creator, writer, director, and executive producer Hwang Dong-Hyuk, the protagonist Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) and the masked villain the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) will also return for another ride.

“It took 12 years to bring the first season of Squid Game to life last year. But it took 12 days for Squid Game to become the most popular Netflix series ever… Thank you for watching and loving our show… Join us once more for a whole new round,” said Dong-Hyuk in a statement.

Squid Game premiered on Netflix in September last year and followed a group of cash-stricken people taking part in a series of children’s games with deadly consequences for a chance to win a huge prize. It attracted 1.65 billion viewing hours in the first 28 days on the platform, becoming Netflix’s most-watched series to date.
