Sophia Loren will star in her first feature film in a decade.

Netflix has bought the global rights to Edoardo Ponti’s Italian drama, The Life Ahead, starring the 84-year-old actress.

Per the streamer, The Life Before Us, features Loren as a Holocaust survivor with a daycare business, who takes in a 12-year-old street kid Momo, the boy who recently robbed her. The two loners become each other’s protectors, anchoring an unconventional family.

“I couldn’t be more pleased to be working with Netflix on such a special film,” said Loren in a statement. “In my career, I’ve worked with the biggest studios but I can safely say that none have had the breadth of reach and the cultural diversity of Netflix, and that’s what I love about them.”

The Life Ahead is set to be released sometime later this year.
