Netflix Cancels “The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell”

Christine H. McConnell in "The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell"

It’s time to say goodbye to Christine McConnell and her gang of delightful adorable critters.

Netflix has decided that there will be no second season for The Curious Creations of Christine McConnell. The first season of the part DIY show and part scripted reality consisted of six half-hour episodes, which are still available to stream on the platform.

The morbidly creative crafting show was produced by Netflix, Wilshire Studios and The Henson Alternative. It was created by and starred McConnell, an artist, and baker who lives in a mansion full of monsters and ghosts. McConnell, in the company of Rose the reanimated raccoon, a friendly werewolf named Edgar and Rankle the mummified Egyptian cat, created morbid looking desserts.

McConnell took to Twitter Tuesday to share her feelings about the cancellation, writing, “I’m very sad to say, I’ve been told there won’t be another season of The Curious Creations. Thank you to everyone who watched and has supported the series. Thank you to Henson, Wilshire, Netflix and the amazing people who made the show with me. I’m so grateful.”
