The next season of Bridgerton will center on Penelope and Colin’s love story, and expectations are running high! After a lot of anticipation, Netflix finally shared the first look that shows sparks flying between two of the most beloved Bridgerton characters.
Things didn’t end well for Penelope and Colin at the end of Season 2 after she overheard him dismissing the possibility of ever being with her while talking to his friends. Penelope finally decided to let go of her childhood crush and find a husband who’ll respect her independence so she can continue her double life as Lady Whistledown.
Colin, on the other hand, is back from his travels, but he’s disappointed to learn Penelope is giving him the cold shoulder. He’s determined to win back her trust, and he decides to help her boost her confidence in order to attract a perfect husband.
Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan will take center stage in Season 3, which draws inspiration from the third book in the series, titled Romancing Mister Bridgerton. Jonathan Bailey, Ruth Gemmell, Claudia Jessie, Golda Rosheuvel, Luke Thompson, and Simone Ashley are also among the returning cast members from the previous seasons, while Regé-Jean Page and Phoebe Dynevor left the series after Seasons 1 and 2, respectively.
