Netflix has given us one of their most acclaimed dramas with Heartstopper, and there’s more where that came from! The second season of the beloved British series is just around the corner, and the first teaser chronicles the next chapter of Nick and Charlie’s incredible journey.
The first season of Heartstopper saw high schoolers Nick and Charlie develop an unlikely friendship, which slowly grows into something more as they try to navigate their teenage years. Sparks are still flying between them—quite literally—in the trailer for Season 2, which chronicles the next chapter of their story.
The teaser gives us glimpses of the couple’s class trip to Paris and hints at the journey of other characters from this coming-of-age series. The trip to the City of Love was a big part of Alice Oseman’s original graphic novel which inspired this hit series.
Heartstopper is led by Kit Connor and Joe Locke, and its supporting cast includes William Gao, Yasmin Finney, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Tobie Donovan, Rhea Norwood, Stephen Fry, and Olivia Colman. The series was met with universal critical acclaim following its premiere last year and received a lot of praise for its LGBTQ+ representation.
Season 2 of Heartstopper will premiere on August 3, and it will feature a total of eight episodes.
