Netflix developed spin-offs based on some of their most successful shows, and Wednesday and Peaky Blinders could be the next ones in line. According to Bloomberg’s recent report, the streaming giant is plotting several more spin-offs themed around these two series.

Wednesday offered a modern spin on The Addams Family, with Jenna Ortega in the titular role. It became an overnight sensation after it premiered on Netflix in late 2022 and became the streamer’s most popular English-language show of all time.

Netflix is now reportedly plotting a spin-off series about Uncle Fester, played by Fred Armisen. Bloomberg reports that there’s no guarantee this series could ever happen because the scheduling and contracts are yet to be negotiated, but the streamer is eager to build off the success of Wednesday and develop new projects in The Addams Family universe.

Bloomberg also reports that Netflix is eying two spinoffs of the acclaimed crime drama Peaky Blinders, which ran for six seasons on BBC before ending its run in 2022.

While the original series was set in Birmingham in the aftermath of the First World War, one of the spin-offs would take us to 20th-century Boston. The second spin-off set in the Peaky Blinders universe would center on Polly, the matriarch of the Shelby family, played by the late Helen McCrory in the original series.
