Looks like Netflix’s rein has just begun.

A recent survey conducted by Cowen & Co. among 2,500 US adults officially crowns the streaming giant as the no.1 go-to platform for TV entertainment.

The participants were asked, “Which platforms do you use most often to view video content on TV?” Netflix came in at number one with 27 percent of the vote followed by cable (20 percent), broadcast (18 percent) and YouTube (11 percent).

These numbers were even more impressive among the younger demographic with 40 percent of millennial viewers opting for the streaming platform well ahead of YouTube (17 percent), basic cable (12.6 percent), Hulu (7.6 percent) and broadcast TV (7.5 percent).

This means that the streaming service has officially surpassed in popularity of traditional cable television networks as well as YouTube, Amazon, and Hulu.

“Over the long term, assuming [Netflix] is able to continue to increasingly offer great content, this lead clearly bodes well for further value creation,” Cowen & Co. analysts led by John Blackledge wrote in a research note Tuesday.

Netflix has officially become a force to reckon with in TV entertainment.
