Netflix Renews “Cobra Kai” for Season Five

The streaming giant has renewed Cobra Kai for a fifth season. 

News of the renewal comes ahead of the Season Four premiere, which is set to debut in December this year.

The series popularity is undeniable. Created by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg, the critically acclaimed show has recently received four Emmy nominations including Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Sound Editing for a Comedy, Outstanding Stunt Performance, and Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy.

Cobra Kai, which continues the story of the Karate Kid film franchise stars William Zabka, Xolo Maridueña, Ralph Macchio, Martin Kove, Courtney Henggeler, Tanner Buchannan, Mary Mouser, Jacob Bertrand, Gianni Decenzo, Peyton List, and Vanessa Rubio.

The Season Three finale saw Daniel (Macchio) and Johnny (Zabka) combine their dojos to take on the villainous John Kreese (Martin Kove) at the All Valley Tournament.

Season Five of Cobra Kai is set to start shooting this Fall in Atlanta.
