The Lincoln Lawyer became a huge ratings hit for Netflix since it premiered last year, and renewing it for another season was a no-brainer. After another successful chapter, the streaming giant confirmed this legal drama will officially return for Season 3.

Based on the books of Michael Connelly, The Lincoln Lawyer center on an idealist lawyer Mickey Haller, who takes on cases big and small across Los Angeles – all while running his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln.

The Lincoln Lawyer is led by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, while its supporting cast includes Neve Campbell, Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole, Angus Sampson, and Christopher Gorham.

Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez, co-showrunners and executive producers, confirmed the show’s renewal and thanked its loyal fanbase for making this possible.

“The audience response to the show has been so gratifying and wonderful, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to dive back into Michael Connelly’s universe and bring Mickey Haller and his world to the screen again,” said the duo in a statement.

The third season of The Lincoln Lawyer will draw inspiration from The Gods of Guilt, the fifth book in Michael Connelly’s series about Mickey Haller. His books previously inspired Brad Furman’s 2011 film starring Matthew McConaughey.
