Lucifer has been renewed for a sixth and final season at Netflix.
This is the second time Netflix has renewed the series for a “final” season. The show aired on Fox for three years before being canceled and moving to Netflix for Season 4 in 2018. Last year, it was announced that Season 5 would be the last.
During the announcement, the show said Season 6 would be the “FINAL final” season.
Lucifer follows Tom Ellis, a fallen angel and Lord of Hell, who works with the LAPD and helps detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German) take down criminals.
Kevin Alejandro, D.B. Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Scarlett Estevez, and Rachael Harris also star in the series.
Season 5 is set to premiere later this year and it will consist of 16 episodes. The first eight will be released on August 21 and the second half of Season 5 hasn’t received a release date.
