On My Block has been renewed for a fourth and final season by Netflix.
After the finale of the third season jumped forward a bit into the future, with the fracturing of the friend group, fans will be getting answers in the new 10-episode season.
The show follows a group of four street-savvy friends who find their way in a rough inner city of Freeridge high school while dealing with friendships, family obligations, romantic relationships, gang culture, PTSD, and death.
On My Block was created by Lauren Iungerich, Eddie Gonzalez, and Jeremy Haft, who all executive produce alongside Jamie Dooner. Iungerich also serves as showrunner. The show stars Sierra Capri, Jason Genao, Brett Gray, Diego Tinoco, Jessica Marie Garcia, and Julio Macias.
The series joins a long list of shows given final season orders from Netflix. Others include The Kominsky Method, Dead To Me, Ozark, and Atypical.
The first season was named by Netflix as the No. 1 most binged show in 2018, overtaking Making a Murderer, 13 Reasons Why, and The Haunting of Hill House.
