Netflix Renews “Space Force” for Season 2

John Malkovich, Steve Carell, and Jimmy O. Yang in "Space Force"

Netflix gave fans of The Office another workplace comedy to binge-watch this year with Space Force. The first season left much to be desired and Netflix recently announced they’re bringing this show back for another season.

Space Force was created by Greg Daniels and Steve Carell, who previously worked together on the set of The Office. In addition to being the show’s executive producer, Carell also plays the lead role alongside John Malkovich, Ben Schwartz, Diana Silvers, Lisa Kudrow, Tawny Newsome, and Jimmy O Yang.

Space Force centers on a decorated general Mark R. Naird, whose life turns upside down when he’s tasked with what seems like an impossible mission—establishing the sixth branch of the United States Armed Forces: Space Force.

Space Force premiered back in May to mixed reviews, but that didn’t stop it from being renewed. It’s joining the slate of several newly-launched Netflix comedies that have been renewed earlier this year, including The Baby-Sitters Club, Emily in Paris, and Never Have I Ever.
