The reboot of the classic true-crime series The Unsolved Mysteries became a huge hit since premiering on Netflix last year, and it’s not going away anytime soon. The third chapter of this beloved series is on the way, and it’s expected to premiere in summer 2022.

The Unsolved Mysteries returned to Netflix last July, and the first season was separated into two chapters, consisting of six episodes. Following its launch, over 5,000 tips have been submitted to its team, renewing the interest in some of the cases highlighted in the series.

Terry Dunn Meurer, who’s producing the series through his production company Cosgrove/Meurer, said that they couldn’t be more excited about developing the third volume of this successful Netflix series.

“We’re currently in production on more intriguing mysteries and we look forward to our viewers’ help in solving the new cases next summer. Thank you to our Unsolved Mysteries fans who have made the series such a huge success,” said Dunn in a statement.

The Unsolved Mysteries originally premiered in 1987 on NBC. It was airing on this network for an entire decade before finding a new home at CBS and being revived by Lifetime and Spike during the 2000s.
