Bridgerton was released on Netflix last Christmas, and the streaming giant found a perfect way to mark its anniversary. They celebrated the holidays by revealing the release date for the highly-anticipated Season 2, which is coming our way sooner than later.
Netflix came up with a pretty fitting way to reveal when we can expect this period drama to make a comeback. They dropped a video that shows several cast members read a letter by Lady Whistledown herself:
“Happy anniversary to our buzzy ton. It is customary for a first anniversary, to gift paper, dear readers. I do hope you find this one informative. Bridgerton returns March 25.”
The cat is finally out of the bag, but don’t expect the upcoming season to continue exploring the romance between the Duke of Hastings and Daphne Bridgerton. The focus will shift to her brother Anthony Bridgerton this time around, as he looks for a suitable wife.
Jonathan Bailey is set to reprise his role from Season 1 and he’ll be joined by Claudia Jessie, Luke Newton, Luke Thompson, Nicola Coughlan, and more. Simone Ashley will play Anthony’s love interest Kate Sharma, who just returned from India with her sister Edwina.
