Nobody Wants This was a true breath of fresh air when it premiered on Netflix last month—and there’s more where that came from! Kristen Bell and Adam Brody are coming back for another ride after the streaming giant gave this acclaimed rom-com series a renewal for its second season.
Nobody Wants This stars Bell and Brody as Joanne and Noah, two people from completely different walks of life trying to form something that lasts. She’s a dating podcaster struggling to form a meaningful relationship, while he’s a young rabbi dealing with the expectations of his community.
In addition to Bell and Brody, the cast of this series also includes Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, Stephanie Faracy, Michael Hitcock, Tovah Feldshuh, Paul Ben-Victor, Emily Arlook, Jackie Tohn, Sherry Cola, and Shiloh Berman. Erin Foster created it for Netflix, drawing inspiration from her own life, and served as Season 1 showrunner alongside Craig DiGregorio, but they’ll step down in Season 2.
Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan, who previously worked together on Girls, have been tapped to serve as showrunners of the next season. Foster is putting full trust in them because she’s a huge fan of their work, and she’s looking forward to continuing this story by their side.
