Wednesday is one of the most highly-anticipated series coming to Netflix this fall and the streaming giant just got us even more excited about it. The first look at the main cast is here and it offers a glimpse at the members of the Addams Family.

Netflix previously shared a look of Jenna Ortega as the titular character Wednesday Addams, but they decided to take things up a notch. The new photos also offer a look at Catherine Zeta-Jones as matriarch Morticia, Luis Guzmán as her loyal husband Gomez, and Isaac Ordonez as Wednesday’s hapless brother Pugsley.

Co-creators Miles Millar and Alfred Gough worked closely with executive producer and director Tim Burton on this project, drawing inspiration from Charles Addams’ original cartoons and trying to make something completely unique.

“That’s something that was very important to the show—that it didn’t feel like a remake or a reboot… It’s not trying to be the movies or the ’60s TV show. That was very important to us and very important to Tim,” Millar told Vanity Fair.

This series will center on Wednesday Addams during her time as a high school student at Nevermore Academy, where she attempts to master her psychic powers. It’s set to premiere in the fourth quarter of 2022, but Netflix is yet to confirm its official release date.
