Tim Burton’s Wednesday is one of the most exciting shows coming our way this year, and Netflix just added some more fuel to the fire by sharing the first teaser trailer. The short clip shows Jenna Ortega channeling her inner Wednesday Addams and she’s everything we’ve wanted her to be—and more!

According to the show’s official synopsis, Wednesday will follow its titular heroine as she “attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.”

The short teaser premiered during Netflix’s Geeked Week and it also dropped hints about the return of The Thing. Wednesday will also star Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams and Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams with Christina Ricci joining them in a mystery role after playing Wednesday Addams during the ’90s.

The series was written by Smallville creators Al Gough and Miles Millar while Burton serves as a director and executive producer. The filming concluded this March in Bucharest, Romania. The release date is yet to be announced, but the series is expected to premiere this fall and feature eight episodes.
