Netflix Shares First Look at Young Lady Danbury in “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story”

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story is one of the most exciting spin-offs that Netflix has in store, and the more we learn about it—the more excited we are! The streamer just shared the first look at the younger version of one of the show’s most beloved characters, Lady Danbury.

Lady Danbury was portrayed by Adjoa Andoh in the original series, but Arsema Thomas is set to take over from her in the upcoming spin-off. The first look shows the young Lady Danbury facing a mysterious figure with an apprehensive look on her face—maybe Queen Charlotte herself!

According to Netflix’s official logline, the new series will see Lady Danbury use Charlotte’s arrival to find her own way into society under the thumb of her much older husband.

“With keen knowledge of the once divided social scene and the intricacies of marriage, Agatha becomes a guiding light for the new Queen, all while finding her own voice and power we’ll soon recognize as Bridgerton’s iconic Lady Danbury,” reads Netflix’s press release.

Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story will chronicle Queen Charlotte’s rise to power, and it will see Golda Rosheuvel (Queen Charlotte), Adjoa Andoh (Lady Agatha Danbury), and Ruth Gemmell (Lady Violet Bridgerton) return to their roles from the original series.  The young cast will be led by India Amarteifio as young Queen Charlotte and Corey Mylchreest as young King George III.
