Bridgerton is one of the most popular TV shows that Netflix has in store, and they celebrated Christmas by sharing a special present with its fans. The streaming giant released a new poster and series of images, giving us a glimpse of what’s to come in the third season of Bridgerton.
The show’s upcoming third chapter will chronicle the blooming romance between Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton). After realizing that her feelings for Colin aren’t reciprocated, Penelope decides to give up her crush and start looking for a husband, but sparks start flying between them once Colin decides to help her out.
Showrunner Jess Brownell recently discussed the upcoming third season in an interview with Entertainment Weekly and said it would explore the popular “friends to lovers” trope.
“We have two characters who previously have been underdogs in many ways, Pen as this wallflower and Colin as a third son who hasn’t quite found himself. But this season we’ll see both of them really stepping into their power, embracing who they truly are, and finding true love because of it,” said Brownell.
Season 3 of Bridgerton will return to Netflix this spring, and it will be split into two parts, set to premiere on May 16 and June 13, 2024.
