Netflix’s Never Have I Ever has started production on Season 2 and they’ve added a new cast member.

The show was renewed back in July and they started filming in Los Angeles. Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Ramona Young, Lee Rodriguez, Darren Barnet, Jaren Lewison, Poorna Jagannathan, and Richa Moorjani are returning for the second season and Megan Suri will be joining as a recurring guest star.

Suri will play Aneesa, a new Indian student at Sherman Oaks High, who is confident and outgoing, which poses a threat to Devi (Ramakrishnan).

Suri appeared in Fresh Off the Boat, Valentine’s Day, The Brink, Atypical, and The Miseducation of Bindu.

Never Have I Ever was co-created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher. The show follows Maitreyi Ramakrishnan’s Devi, a modern-day-first-generation Indian American teenage girl who deals with issues relating to her family, sexuality, and high school. Devi wants to change her social standing after her father passes away and she is confined to a wheelchair for three months.
