Dave Bautista has really been making waves in Hollywood since getting his big break with the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, and his next project will see him taking on double duty. In addition to playing the lead role, the former WWE star will also produce his next movie Traphouse.
This action thriller will see Bautista playing undercover DEA agent, who embarks on an unexpected game of cat and mouse with a group of rebellious teenage thieves, trying to rob a dangerous cartel.
The Fast & Furious creator Gary Scott Thompson will be in charge of writing the screenplay. Bautista will produce the project alongside his longtime manager Jonathan Meisner and Signature CEO Marc Goldberg.
“Traphouse is a project that we’ve been working on for years. We’re thrilled to be working with Marc and his team at Signature to bring it to life, and in Gary, we’ve found the perfect writer to infuse our original fast-paced action movie with tons of heart,” said Dave Bautista in an official statement.
