New “Altered Carbon” Trailer Reveals Season 2 Release Date

Months after its announcement, the second season of Netflix’s Altered Carbon is getting a confirmed release date. The streaming service will make the series available on February 27th.

The date was revealed in a new trailer published on the official twitter page of the show. The trailer shows no new footage. It does, however, features a new graphic – a revamp of the first season’s opening credits with the message: “Your re-sleeving is now complete.”

Based on a novel by Richard K. Morgan, Altered Carbon is set 300 years in the future and describes a world full of technological advancements. The technology allows the wealthy to transfer their consciousness to a new body and by that, essentially live forever. The protagonist, Takeshi Kovacs, is a rebel from the past that is brought by to life in order to solve a murder case. The first season was aired or February 2nd, 2018.

The body-swapping technology also makes changing of the lead actors simple. This season, the lead will be played by Anthony Mackie who played Falcon on several Marvel Cinematic Universe movies.
