Hugh Jackman retrieves his claws and steps down from the role of wolverine – a role he played for over a decade in the X-Men franchise. Logan was the last movie with him as the tough mutant. The mantle will now go to another and one of the favorites to the succession is Taron Egerton.
Egerton rose to stardom after his role in Kingsman: The Secret Service and is now getting a lot of Oscar buzz after his performance as Elton John in Rocketman.
Now that the X-Men are supposed to get a reboot under the hands of Marvel Studios, he is one of the names circulated as the new Wolverine.
