New “Pet Sematary” Movie Adds Samantha Mathis & Henry Thomas

The follow-up adaptation of Stephen King’s bestseller Pet Semetary has added Samantha Mathis and Henry Thomas to the cast.

They join previously announced cast members Jackson White, Forrest Goodluck, Jack Mulhern, Natalie Alyn Lind, Isabella Star LeBlanc, and Pam Grier in the Lindsey Beer-directed Paramount+ film.

Pet Semetary has been made twice by Paramount—once in 1989 and again in 2019. According to Deadline, the films grossed over $170 million.

Matthis’ credits include The Georgetown Project, Billions, Being Frank, The Clovehitch Killer, American Pastoral, Into the Dark, The Strain, and The Good Wife.

Thomas is known for his roles in E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial, Indictment: The McMartin Trial, The Haunting of Bly ManorThe Haunting of Hill House, Better Things, Sons of Liberty, Betrayal, Nightmares & Dreamscapes: The Stories of Stephen King, Psycho IV: The Beginning, Moby Dick, Dear John, and Gerald’s Game. He’s set to appear in Midnight Mass next month.
