Nick Jonas got his first big blockbuster role in years with Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and he’s ready to give this franchise another go. He’ll officially be returning for Jumanji 3.

The news of Jonas’ comeback made headlines shortly after the members of the teen gang (Alex Wolff, Ser’Darius Blain, Madison Iseman, and Morgan Turner) all confirmed they’ll be back for the upcoming sequel.

Jonas accepted the role in Welcome to the Jungle because he’s a huge fan of the original Jumanji movie. He felt the sequel was the perfect way to pay homage to the late Robin Williams, because it offered a whole new adventure in familiar setting.

“When I read the script I was blown away with the approach they were taking and the idea of this body swap. Being sucked into the game this time was a really fresh take and you get to work with these incredible actors. It was a dream scenario,” said Nick Jonas.

Let’s hope he feels the same way about the upcoming sequel, which is slated to be released on December 13. The main foursome Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart and Karen Gillan will also be back for the sequel.
