Nicki Minaj has joined the voice cast of Angry Birds 2.
Variety reports that the rapper has been cast in the star-studded sequel to Angry Birds. Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Bill Hader, Danny McBride, and Peter Dinklage will all reprise their roles from the first film. Leslie Jones, Rachel Bloom, Awkwafina, Sterling K. Brown, Eugenio Derbez, Lil Rel Howery, Dove Cameron, and Zach Woods round out the voice cast.
It is still unclear what which character Minaj will lend her voice to.
The sequel is directed by Thurop Van Orman and co-directed by John Rice. It is produced by John Cohen and co-produced by Mary Ellen Bauder Andrews. Serving as executive producers are David Maisel and Catherine Winder.
The release date for Angry Birds Movie 2 coincides with the 10th anniversary of the hit video game and will hit theaters on August 16, 2019.
