Nicki Minaj’s next studio album was a long time coming, but she won’t keep us waiting for much longer. The Grammy-nominated rapper dropped some hints about her highly-anticipated fifth studio album and revealed it will hit the shelves this October.

Minaj took to Twitter to share the album’s release date: October 20, 2023. She’s yet to reveal its official title and simply called it “the album” in her tweet, but she previously said that she has a title in mind in an interview with City Girls’ JT.

Minaj has been teasing the release of her fifth studio album for quite some time and said it’s “coming soon” in several interviews this year.

“I’m in a really great place now. I feel like whenever I’m happy, I deliver the best music. And in order for me to deliver the best music for my album – which is coming out soon – I have to tap back into the essence of hip-hop,” she told i-D Magazine.

Nicki Minaj hasn’t released a new studio album since Queen in 2018, but she’s been pretty busy in the meantime. Her greatest hits album Queen Radio: Volume 1 featured her no. 1 single “Super Freaky Girl” and she recently dropped a new song “Red Ruby da Sleeze” and a remix of Ice Spice’s “Princess Diana”.
