Nicole Kidman gave us one of her best performances in recent memory with Big Little Lies, but that apparently won’t be her last collaboration with HBO. The Australian actress has just been cast as the lead in their upcoming limited series The Undoing.

This intriguing project is based on the novel You Should Have Known by Jean Hanff Korelitz. It’s the tale of a successful therapist Grace whose life looks pitch-perfect until a chain of terrible revelations and unimaginable tragedies has her doubting everything she knew. In the wake of horrifying turn, her life took, Grace must dismantle the only life she knew and create another for her son and herself.

Susanne Bier, who recently won an Emmy Award for her work on another limited series The Night Manager, will be in charge of directing the series. She’ll also serve as executive producer alongside Nicole Kidman and the same team that previously worked with her on Big Little Lies.
