After filming The Undoing by each other’s side, Nicole Kidman and Susanne Bier are gearing up for another collaboration. Bier is developing the murder mystery series The Perfect Couple for Netflix, with the two-time Emmy winner in the lead role.

The series is based on Elin Hilderbrand’s bestselling novel and it centers on Nantucket native Celeste Otis, who’s getting ready to get married to one of the wealthiest men in the area. The wedding of the year turns into a murder scene when a body is discovered floating in the harbor and everyone at the party is suddenly a suspect.

Kidman plays the lead role, and she’ll be joined by Liev Schreiber (Ray Donovan), Meghann Fahy (The White Lotus), Dakota Fanning (The Alienist), and the Flora and Son duo of Eve Hewson and Jack Reynor.

This will mark the second collaboration between Kidman and Bier, and it looks pretty promising given the success of their previous project together. The Emmy-winning star played the lead role in Bier’s The Undoing on HBO alongside Hugh Grant, for which she earned a Golden Globe nomination. Fanning also previously worked with Bier, playing Susan Ford in her anthology drama series The First Lady last year.
