It seems Nicole Kidman and best-selling author Liane Moriarty really are a match made in heaven. After starring in the TV adaptation of her novel Big Little Lies, Australian actress is getting ready to bring another Moriarty’s book to the wider audience.

Nine Perfect Strangers won’t hit the shelves until November, but Kidman and her producing partners at Blossom Films already know it’s going to be amazing. That’s why they decided to sign a preemptive deal for TV and film rights to Moriarty’s upcoming novel. The Moulin Rouge! star will play the lead role and serve as executive producer, alongside Per Saari and Bruna Papandrea.

Nine Perfect Strangers centers on a group of people who gather at a remote health resort. Kidman will play Frances Welty, a successful romance novelist who’s there to deal with back pain and a broken heart. Moriarty can’t wait to team up with the Australian actress once again since she already did a great job bringing one of her characters to life.

“I’m so very happy and thrilled to once again be working with Nicole, Per and Bruna. They are such talented, passionate people and I have no doubt that whatever they do with my Nine Perfect Strangers, it will be brilliant. I’m honored by their faith in this book. Even before I’d written ‘the end’ they believed in it, and I just feel very lucky to have had them come into my life.” said Moriarty.
