Netflix has given us a long list of movies starring A-list actors these days, and there’s another one coming our way. Nicole Kidman, Zac Efron, and Joey King are set to join forces in the upcoming romantic comedy directed by Richard LaGravenese.

The untitled film follows “a surprising romance which kicks off comic consequences for a young woman, her mother, and her movie star boss as they face the complications of love, sex, and identity.” The shooting is expected to start later this year, and Netflix will reveal more details about the project in the meantime.

In addition to directing, LaGravenese (P.S. I Love You, Beautiful Creatures) also co-wrote the script with Carrie Solomon. Joe Roth, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and Alyssa Altman are producing the project for Roth/Kirschenbaum Films.

This film comes a decade after Kidman and Efron’s first collaboration together – the crime drama The Paperboy from 2012. The former Disney star recently collaborated with Netflix on the Ted Bundy biopic Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile. Joey King is also somewhat of a Netflix veteran, having previously starred in The Kissing Booth franchise.

As for Kidman, this romantic comedy will mark her second collaboration with Netflix. She previously appeared in Ryan Murphy’s The Prom from 2020 alongside Meryl Streep and James Corden.
