Nope, We Aren’t Getting a “Friends” Reboot

This is the one where everyone is disappointed.

Friends defined the ’90s and early 2000s for most people, but it seems as though those are the decades in which they will remain.

Despite almost every other show from that era being revived (including those far less popular than the Central Perk crew), the creator of Friends says it just ain’t gonna happen. “The heart of the show would be gone,” claims Marta Kaufman.

Over the years, some friends castmates, like Jennifer Aniston, have expressed willingness to return to that awesome New York apartment.

But, alas, it seems not to be…

“The show is about a time in your life when your friends are your family. It’s not that time anymore. The show is doing just fine, people love it. A reunion could only disappoint,” Kaufman told Rolling Stone.

Guess we weren’t just on a break…
