Will an Oasis reunion ever happen? The man who put the band together thinks it might.

Paul ‘Bigun’ Ashbee was the man who originally introduced the band members. He employed Liam Gallagher 32 years ago as a car valet and introduced him to guitarist Paul Arthur shortly after. In 1991, they joined together with Noel Gallagher and created the most infamous Brit-pop band of all time. In 2009, however, the band broke up moments before their headlining slot at V Festival.

Now, Ashbee thinks that a reunion is foreseeable and that the boys’ mother, Peggy, will be the key to the reunion. He told Manchester Evening News:

“I really do think a reunion will happen,” Ashbee admitted. “I thought it would happen last year and a lot of people say today they’ll never get on but they’ve never got on.”

“It wouldn’t take much for them to get together. It would be a Christmas dinner or Peggy saying ‘come on boys, for your mum, for the people’.”

He added: “They need to get over themselves and remember where it started. It’s the fans that it’s all about. Somebody needs to bang their heads together.”
