Barack Obama has taken a moment at the end of the year to celebrate the successes of his favourite artists who contributed something to cultural community in 2018.

He also made a list of his favourite books of the year but of course, his favourite was always going to be “Becoming” by Michelle Obama. We definitely agree with him on some of his choices but the list also credits some lesser known artists. Without further ado, here are the picks.
