Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham are both amazing actresses in their own right, and it was just a matter of time before they joined forces. That moment has finally arrived after the amazing duo was cast in lead roles in Tessa Coates’ upcoming Prime Video series.
Spencer and Waddingham will star as Judith and Debbie, two best friends who know everything about each other… or do they? Their friendship must survive its biggest test yet after Debbie learns that Judith has been living a double life as a highly trained assassin, and they have to go on the run together after a hit gone wrong.
The Oscar winner Spencer said it’s a dream come true to work with Waddingham to bring this unique friendship to life and dive into her amazing role as Debbie. The Emmy-winning Ted Lasso star echoed her statement and said it’s incredibly exciting to star in Tessa Coates’ hugely energetic, exhilarating series.
In addition to playing lead roles, Spencer and Waddingham are coming on board as executive producers, along with Coats, Brian Clisham, and Stephanie Kluft for Orit Entertainment, Double Dream’s Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Irene Yeung, plus David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Matt Thunell for Skydance Television.
